PRACTITIONERS

Dr. John Partenope

Born in Philadelphia, PA and raised in San Antonio, TX…Dr. John moved to Durango, CO in 2003 for a healthier way of life and to pass that way of living onto his patients practicing exclusively as a Complementary & Alternative Health Care Practitioner. After graduating from the University of Texas at San Antonio, Dr. John completed his education and graduated from Medical & Naturopath schools. Dr. John is the founder & inventor of 46Evo. He is married to his loving and beautiful wife Larissa and has two daughters named Lola & Colette. Dr. John is a Shodan (Black Belt) in the Japanese art of Shin-Budo Kai Aikido and enjoys spending quality time with his family. Board Certified: American Association of Drugless Practitioners(AADP), Alternative American Medical Association(AAMA), American Naturopathic Certification Board(ANCB), Society of Complementary Alternative & Holistic Practitioners(SCAHP), American Naturopathic Medical Association(ANMA), 2022 Inductee into Marquis Who’s Who Biographical Registry/Encyclopedia, Adjunct Assistant Professor at New York College of Podiatric Medicine.

 

Ivy Walker, NMD & Ph.D(c), FNLP M. Ed.

Ivy was born in Sitka, Alaska, and grew up in Houston, Texas.  A 20 year resident of the Durango area, she is completing her Doctorate & Ph.D in Natural Medicine, is a Functional Nutrition and Lifestyle Practitioner, Quantum BioFeedBack Practitioner, and holds a Master’s Degree in Education.   She loves working with clients who are sick and tired of being sick and tired, to regain optimal health and a sense of purpose in life. Creator of the Strong Life Journey system, Ivy is on a mission to help others incorporate health, movement, adventure and purpose in all of life. She and husband, Glen, have 4 daughters-  Jenny(husband Jacob), Stephanie, Amy and Katherine, and 3 adorable grands-  Abel, Clara and Ethan.  Family times are frequent and lively! After hours, Ivy serves as the piano accompanist for Durango High School Theater Troupe 1096.  Ivy is pleased to work with Dr. John in providing optimal health choices that truly make a difference and move the needle on client wellness.

Reta Shablo

Reta was born in Yosemite National Park, California, raised in a small town, Mariposa. Moved to Colorado in 1990 then on to Durango in 1998. There she met herhusband Tony and married in 2002.

They both have a love for the beauty and majestic mountains and the four seasons. Blending a family, they raised 4 children: Joseph, Kristy, Rusty (now in heaven) & Cameron. Joseph is single and making them proud in his recovery from his challenges every day! Kristy and her husband Justin, gave them 5 beautiful grandchildren with twins in the mix! Their son Cameron will be married this summer in Silverton!

Reta enjoys baking, cooking, the water (lakes & oceans), dancing, traveling, driving and of course her grandchildren!

Jennifer Sawyer

Jennifer was born in Durango, Colorado and raised in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. She spent several years in both Phoenix, Arizona and Farmington, New Mexico. A job offer for her husband brought them back to the Durango area and they have been here for over 20 years.

Jennifer met her husband William in Farmington and they have been happily married for 27 years. They have three children together-Iliana, Zeely and Blaze whom she was blessed to raise as a stay-at-home mother. She is also a proud grandmother to two grandsons, Leo and Gabriel.

After a thyroid cancer diagnosis in 2009 Jennifer has been on a mission to better her health and the health of her family. She is a supporter of organic eating, toxin elimination and overall health and wellness.

Jennifer spent close to 20 years working from home in the oil and natural gas industry. She is excited to take on a roll working with Dr. John and Ivy in a field she feels very passionate about.

Her hobbies include tap dancing, music, traveling, fishing and spending time in nature.

 

Rachel Tillotson

Rachel was born and raised in Durango, Colorado being the youngest of four children. She recently graduated from high school in May 2023 and is continuing her education in paramedic school.

Along the road she will acquire her paramedic associates degree. Rachel has a heart for helping the sick while also loving the excitement of working in an emergency situation. Rachel's passion for understanding the human body pushes her and drives her to be her best.

She has loved working with Dr. John and Ivy as it has grown her knowledge and shown her another interesting perspective to health care. Rachel is very excited to continue growing in her career and doing what she loves.

Some of Rachel's hobbies include fishing, hunting, art, being outdoors and many more crazy activities.
